What we run
Programmes that welcome, support and connect.
From young people finding their feet in Irish schools to older migrants building friendships, from cultural celebrations to humanitarian aid for Venezuela — our programmes turn solidarity into everyday support.
Overview
Four programmes, each meeting a real need.
Our programmes span both of our homes. Three focus on belonging and identity within Ireland; one channels practical humanitarian support to families in Venezuela. Together they form a single mission of care.

VKI — Venezuelan Kids in Ireland
VKI is a cultural integration programme for Venezuelan children aged 2 to 16, helping them settle into life in Ireland while staying rooted in their heritage. It fosters a sense of community by celebrating both Venezuelan and Irish values, customs and traditions.
Through workshops, language exchange, sport and shared celebrations, young people build friendships across both cultures — learning who they are and where they belong.
- Cultural workshops in music, dance and heritage
- Spanish – English language exchange by age
- Sports, arts & crafts and culinary activities

+50 years — support for older Venezuelans
Migration in later life carries its own challenges — isolation, language barriers and navigating services in a new country. The +50 years programme supports older Venezuelans and fellow Latin Americans aged fifty and over.
Through free English classes, social activities and clear information, we help older members stay connected, confident and fully part of community life in Ireland.
- Free English language classes for daily life
- Social gatherings, events and companionship
- Guidance on employment, education and public services

Culture — keeping our identity alive
Our Culture programme keeps Venezuelan identity alive through dance, music and tradition — a living bridge between our homeland and our new home in Ireland. It runs two strands: Venezuelan Roots, a folklore group for adults, and 5678 We Dance, for children and teenagers aged 5 to 16.
Led by “La Profesora” Karelys Torres, our dancers blend traditional Venezuelan rhythms with contemporary and pre-ballet styles, performing throughout the year and opening a warm window onto our heritage for Irish neighbours.
- Venezuelan Roots folklore and 5678 We Dance for ages 5–16
- Five years performing at Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Festival
- Master classes and the ‘Latin American Christmas’ gala

Humanitarian Aid
Humanitarian Aid — support that reaches home
Our Humanitarian Aid programme channels food and medical support to Venezuela through trusted partner NGOs. We are the link between Irish donors and organisations with the reach and accountability to deliver where the need is greatest.
Together with partners we have provided 70,000 meals, distributed 680 kg of medicines, and helped 17,000 patients access care.
