Humanitarian Aid: A Bridge of Hope from Ireland
At the Venezuelan Community in Ireland (VCI), we transform the solidarity of the Irish diaspora and our local hosts into life-saving support. Venezuela faces a complex humanitarian emergency with severe food and medical shortages. We believe that distance is no barrier to compassion; our mission is to provide immediate relief while fostering long-term resilience for the most vulnerable.

How We Work: The Strategic Bridge
VCI operates as a transparent "Rapid Responder." We don’t just raise funds; we create direct alliances with vetted, hands-on organizations in Venezuela to ensure every Euro donated in Ireland becomes a meal, a medicine, or a tool for the future.

Our Core Impact Areas
1. Nutritional Security & Education
Since 2017, our partnership with Alimenta la Solidaridad has been our cornerstone.
-
Scale: Supporting 240+ community kitchens serving 16,000 children daily.
-
The "El Palaciero" Kitchen: VCI covers 40% of the daily caloric needs for infants and children (0-12 years) in this Lara State community.
-
Beyond Food: In 2024, we launched a Robotics Program with Kurios, empowering 53 students to become future innovators, proving that talent exists even amidst crisis.

2. Specialized Healthcare & Cancer Support
We fill critical gaps in a collapsed health system through our alliance with SenoSalud Europa.
-
Oncology: Since 2018, we have shipped hundreds of kilos of medical supplies. In 2024 alone, we provided full chemotherapy cycles for 15 patients and donated specialized prostheses for mastectomy survivors.
-
Emergency Response: During the COVID-19 pandemic, we provided over 110 PPE kits and critical medicines to frontline doctors in five major hospitals through our partner Ven Da Tu Mano.
3. Rural Outreach & Mobile Clinics
We take healthcare to those who cannot reach it.
-
PALUZ Partnership: VCI donated equipment to make 7 major medical check-ups possible in Zulia, benefiting over 300 people in deprived areas.
-
La Macanilla Mission: In collaboration with Ven Da Tu Mano, we supported a massive medical drive in Apure, bringing cardiology, pediatrics, and reproductive health services to over 2,000 rural residents.

2025 SpotlightRapid Response to Natural Tragedies

VCI is built to pivot instantly when disaster strikes our homeland. Our "Rapid Response" pillar ensures that funds are raised and transferred within days of an emergency.
-
2025 | Los Andes Tragedy: When the Venezuelan Andes were struck by devastating landslides, VCI transformed our "Family Day of Fitness & Fun" into an emergency fundraiser. Through digital campaigns and community generosity, we surpassed our goals in record time, delivering direct relief to families who had lost everything.
-
2024 | Aragua State Flooding & Landslides: Following the catastrophic overflow and landslides in Tejerías and Girardot (Aragua State), which resulted in over 50 casualties and hundreds of displaced households, VCI mobilized immediate support.
Our Impact in Aragua:
In collaboration with our trusted partner on the ground, Asociación HazloHoy (@HazloHoyVE), we channeled vital funds to support search, rescue, and mitigation operations. By focusing on the most affected municipalities, we ensured that aid reached those facing the direct aftermath of heavy rainfall and river overflows.
The spirit of "Venezuelans Stand Together" remains our guiding force during every crisis.
